Tints
So What Is A Tint?
A tint is similar to colouring your hair, it’s a skin safe vegetable based dye that can colour the hairs on your brows and lashes. If you have naturally light brows or lashes it’s a great way to help give them more definition and appear a little fuller.
How long does a tint last?
There will usually be a stain on the skin for a couple of days, but typically a tint should last about 3 weeks. Depending o how quick your hair grows, if you oilier skin, and how much you exfoliate can affect how long the tint can last.
Can I wear makeup with them?
You definitely can!
My eyes are a bit sensitive can I get a lash tint?
Depending how sensitive they are, we can always try!
If you find you have more sensitivities in general whether its your skin, eyes, you have allergies, etc. This could mean you may not be a great candidate for lash tint. The tint needs time to work it’s magic, and if you’re eyes tend to get watery that can dilute the tint and not give us the results we’re looking for.
However, if you’d still like to give them a try why not? You can always get in contact to see if a lash tint would be a good fit.
Are there different colours?
Great question!
Yes! I have a variety of colours to meet your brow + lash tinting needs. Lucky for you I actually used to be a hairdresser as well so I have a good understanding of colour theory and can completely customize the tint.
Can they get wet?
You definitely can! I like to always stay on the cautious side of things though and recommend that you keep them dry for a full 24hrs, just like you would with a fresh colour on your hair.
Will they ruin my actual lashes?
Properly applied and removed lashes should have next to no damage. When lashes get ruined its generally due to improper application, not using the correct adhesive, or improper removal. Which is why it is so important to know who is applying your lashes, if you have questions ask! They should be happy to answer.
What if I want them taken off?
If you’re looking to take a break of finding lashes just arent for you, we get it!
When looking to remove the lashes we HIGHLY reccomned you book in for a removal. It is a medical grade adhesive that is being used and trying to do so at home you may have some success, but ultimately will likely end up with an unnecessary amount of lash loss that could have been avoided.
Preparing For Your Service
You’ve booked in, hurray! Here are some tips to get ready and make sure you get the most out of your service:
- Come with clean skin – the time scheduled is the time allotted for your appointment, the more time we have to spend on removing makeup, is less time we have to tint!
- Avoid caffeine – try to avoid excess caffeine before your appointment, it can make your eyes fluttery. (Lash Tint only)
- Remove contact lenses – if you wear contacts regularly, be prepared to remove them or wear your glasses to your appointment. (Lash Tint only)
That’s it! A little prep can go a long way in getting the best results.
What To Expect

Aftercare Tips
There’s not a ton for aftercare for a tint but a few tips:
After Your Appointment:
- Avoid getting them wet – we want to keep them dry for the first 24 hours.
- Avoid scrubs – try not to scrub your brow to much as this can rough up the cuticle of the hair and cause the tint to lighten up sooner.
- Less heat – you can still wash your face as usual, jus try to avoid submerging your brows or lashes in hot water. Just like when you colour your hair hotter water opens up that cuticle.
