What Is A Hydrogel Mask?
A hydrogel mask is a jelly like sheet mask that is safe to apply to even the most imitate areas after a wax. It helps to hydrate, sooth irritation, and reduce redness after your service. We’ll cleanse the skin, apply the mask to the requested area, and let it work it’s magic for 10-15 minutes. Once removed we’ll massage in any extra hydro juices, leaving your kin feeling calm and refreshed. Perfect if you have an event later in the day, are getting ready for the beach or just because you deserve it!
Available for Underarms, Brows, The PeachKini (Bikini) and The Full Peach (Brazilian).
What Is Your Ingrown Removal Treatment?
Ingrowns are nothing to be ashamed of! Everyone gets them at some point! Generally in my services I don’t mind helping out and grabbing a couple ingrowns for you because I know they can be a real pain in the butt! If you have a lot that need extra attention, then you can book in for the Ingrown Hair Removal. This books an additional 10 minutes of dedicated time to focus on removing as much as I can, so you can leave feeling a little more comfortable in your own skin.
Preparing For Your Service
You’ve booked in, hurray! Here are some tips to get ready and make sure you get the most out of your service:
- Exfoliate – the night before your service, this helps to remove excess dead skin, this helps the mask to penetrate better and can make grabbing ingrown a little bit easier.
- Stay hydrated – moisturized skin = better results, but skip heavy lotions or oils the day off.
- Wear loose clothing – opt for comfort, tight clothing can cause friction and irritate the freshly treated skin.
That’s it! A little prep goes a long way in making the most of your visit.
What To Expect
Once you’ve parked, and found my studio I’ll have a quick form for you to fill out (I’ll send you a link to fill it out online, but paper copies are also available). I’ll welcome you into my space, confirm our services for the appointment, and review your form.
From there we’ll go over the service(s) being done at this appointment, I’ll let you know how to get ready, and while you’re getting settled and onto the treatment bed I’ll be washing my hands and getting my gloves on. Then we’ll get started, if you have any questions during the appointment you are more than welcome to ask away!
Once were finished I’ll go over any aftercare, and let you put yourself back together all while I’m tidying up, spraying down my bed, etc to get ready for the next client. All that’s left now is payment and booking your next appointment!
Aftercare
Taking care of your skin is key to minimizing irritation, and lessening ingrowns. Here’s what to do, and what you should avoid:
Right After Your Service:
- Keep it cool & calm – avoid excess heat and activity, this includes hot tubs, saunas, hot baths or showers, intense workouts, and intimacy.
- Hands off! – we want to keep everything as clean as possible, avoid touching the area.
- Skip the lotions – heavy creams, lotions, or fragrances can lead to unwanted irritation.
The Next Few Days
- Exfoliate – get back on your exfoliation routine 48 hours after your service, and keep up with it by exfoliating about 2-3 times a week with your choice of exfoliation. A good scrub, dry brush, or an exfoliating mitt work well, a loofah or wash cloth do not.
- Stay hydrated – exfoliation does dry out the skin a little so we need to add that hydration back in.
